Biography: Information from Highland Council’s Register of Interments, which commenced in 1927. The lair owner when he died was his cousin Donald MacNair, ‘Dòmhnall Choinnich’. He died in Taigh a’ Chreagain, Lower Toscaig, where his sister Bell Gordon was living – she was Colin Gordon’s mother, and she was widowed quite young. Another of Roderick’s sisters (Anne) was married to Dunnchadh Ceàrr (Duncan Gillies, Culduie).
