Biography: Murdo MacRae worked for the shipping company Gardners, in Glasgow. When he returned home with is wife, to look after his step-mother Bella, he started working at Howard Doris – the oil rig construction yard in Kishorn. After Howard Doris stopped, he was a fisherman, fishing velvet crabs from his own large dinghy.
