Biography: Roddy spent time in Canada. He had a very short spell teaching in Applecross School, covering when the teacher was absent although he wasn’t a qualified teacher, c.1953/4. He was in Australia as a Free Presbyterian missionary. He was fishing on the ‘Isa’ for at least one winter. His father was John MacLean (Seonaidh Fhearchair). He was also a driver on the school run.
