Biography: He was a successful fisherman, owner of the ‘Princess’. He had two sons called Farquhar and two sons called Murdo. The Farquhar who lived into adulthood was known as ‘Gibby’ and was a shoemaker – he was also fishing on the ‘Seonaid’ with the Beatons. The Murdo who lived into adulthood was known as ‘Forty’ or ‘Forty Pcokets’. He had a daughter, Katie, who lived in British Columbia, Canada; another son Iain in the same part of Canada; a son Ruairidh, who lies in section IV of Clachan cemetery; a daughter Janet Cameron-MacKintosh (who looked after her mother in her old age); and Martha MacDonald, Culduie.
