Biography: Her father was a gamekeeper who is buried in Ardnamurchan (Fascadale Cemetery). The family were from this area. He was also a gamekeeper in the Lochs area of Lewis and died quite young. Her mother came home to the family home in Camusteel. Everyone called her Liza MacLeod, even although she was a MacKinnon. Her children were Murdo, Betty, Màiri, Ùisdean, Ali, Johnny and Donald ‘Legs’.
