Biography:

The fishing boat ‘Isa’ went to collect his remains from Fearnabeag. There were hurricane-force winds on the return journey, recorded at over 100mph, and the ‘Isa’ had to make for Rona lighthouse and followthe shore south before putting in at Toscaig. The coffin was lashed to the deck. The funeral mourners got a lift back to Shieldaig and walked home from there as the weather was too bad for the boat to make the trip.
