Biography:

John MacDonald was known as the Clachair Leòdhasach. He broke the boundary stone in Camusterrach, the last remaining standing stone believed to form the edge of St Maelruba’s sanctuary, after seeing the priest to the Duke of Leeds examining it. He was doing a job on the (present day) Church of Scotland manse at the time of the incident.
