Biography: A crofter, Duncan was known as ‘Brotaidh’. His second wife was Catherine, or Kate, Munro, whom he married in Inverness in 1919. She remained in the family home in Camusteel until her death in 1940. According to the Highland Council’s Register of Interments, he died on the 5th of December 1929 (not the 4th, as is on the gravestone).
