Biography: He was a farm worker. Information from Highland Council’s Register of Interments, which commenced in 1927. The lair owner when he died was his brother Murdo MacKenzie, Shore Street. Another brother was Thomas MacKenzie. Their father was married twice and had Angus, James, Kate A, John and Katie Ann from his first marriage – so Murdo, Tommy and Murdo were all half-brothers to the other five.
