Biography:

Information from Highland Council’s Register of Interments, which commenced in 1927. The lair owner was her brother Kenneth Ferguson, resident at Borrodale. She was the sister of Dòmhnall a’ Ruaidh, Kenny Beag (blacksmith) and Kenny (the baker). When Dòmhnall a’ Ruaidh’s wife (a Rennie from Aberdeenshire) died shortly after their son Donald was born, Anna Ruaidh more or less raised Iain (known as ‘The Officer’, a tailor who emigrated to Melbourne) and Donald  (Shiram, postman) as her own.
