Biography:

According to the Highland Council’s Register of Interment, John MacBeath’s death date was different to what appears on the stone which indicates he died over a week later than the official record. The lair owner when he died was Ronald MacBeath, resident in Raasay. Ronald MacBeath turned 90 in September 2011, and still has a home in Raasay, but lives most of the time in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. Information from his daughter Jane MacIntosh, February 2012.
