Biography:

John Kenneth Murchison was wounded in the First World War, and never really recovered from his injuries. His son Duncan George Murchison was a Professor of Geology and a vice-chancellor of Durham University. Duncan George gave the Camusterrach children a rugby ball, and cricket wickets when he was a student.
