Biography:

John MacDonald might have been from Camusteel, and may have drowned with someone else. His son was the Reverend John MacDonald, for many years in Rosskeen, and once moderator of the (present) Free Church. Donald Cameron bought their house in Camusterrach. This Reverend John MacDonald was known as Seonaidh Beag Màiri Ruairidh, and he was born a matter of months after his father had been drowned. He was the grandson of Murchadh Buidhe.
